Mostly cloudy skies paired with cooler conditions and a chance of rain will continue through the weekend and into early next week.

A low pressure system and upper-level trough near Monterey Bay will produce some persistent winds around 15 to 25 mph Saturday morning.

The southerly winds bring in a wet air mass that is producing mostly cloudy skies with periods of rain or drizzle through the afternoon.

Rainfall totals will range between three quarters of an inch in the Santa Lucia mountains, especially above Cambria and Cayucos to less than a tenth of an inch in most other Central Coast locations.

Sunday will likely bring partly cloudy skies with the marine layer and areas of fog and mist on the beaches. Temperatures will be in the low to mid 60s.

Gusty winds are expected on Monday and Tuesday which is will likely help clear the skies and bring warmer temperatures.
