Showers Thursday look generally light

Posted: Updated:

Some light showers are already falling around the Central Coast.

Northern SLO county has the best chance of rain tonight into Thursday some inland areas and much of Santa Barbara county may only see a few drops if any rain at all.

I think max rain potential is under .25" even in the heaviest spots.  The cold front lacks proximity to strong low pressure.

Snow levels in the Sierra Nevada will be rather high and generally above 6,500 feet, lowering to 5,500 feet by Thursday.

After the front departs NW winds pick up, 15-25mph in the afternoons Friday and Saturday.

Showers are possible Monday with another front but I think it stays north of the area, may have to keep an eye on that for possible changes. Seasonal temperatures likely much of next week and dry thru next weekend.
