Rocket launch at Vandenberg Air Force Base now set for early morning hours on Tuesday

The launch of a Delta II rocket from Vandenberg Air Force Base has been scheduled for Tues., Nov. 14 at 1:47 a.m.

Vandenberg Air Force Base originally planned to launch the rocket on Friday, but the launch had to be rescheduled to replace a faulty battery on the rocket booster.

The rocket will be carrying a Joint Polar Satellite System-1 polar-orbiting environmental satellite for NASA and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration.
