Volunteers needed for Paso Robles Thanksgiving feast

Posted: Updated:

More than 1,000 men, women and children will be served a Thanksgiving meal in Paso Robles this year.

In order to meet that goal -- and potentially serve more -- the event needs local residents to help out.

The event is a simple homemade, free, traditional meal for those in the community who may not have a home to celebrate in.

It's completely derived from volunteer work; although they do take donations, since the costs do add up. A small donation of $25 can feed an entire family.

A group of organizations, churches, businesses, individuals and more, are working to put on the biggest feast Paso Robles sees annually. To power a meal that big, they need 200 volunteers with a good chunk of time to spare.

Although they love when people decide to help, organizers ask that volunteers pre-register ahead of time to keep operations running smoothly.
