Dunn School baseball standout Gavin Haimovitz inks college commitment

Dunn School baseball senior Gavin Haimovitz inked his National Letter of Intent Tuesday afternoon to play for California State University at Bakersfield.

The senior was hurt most his junior year but still posted a .612 batting average with 75 hits and 50 RBI's in 35 games played. He earned First Team honors in the 2016 All-CIF Southern Section Division 6.

"Gavin is one of the best all-around players and definitely one of the most consistent and talented hitters I have had the privilege of coaching in over 25 years," said head coach David Lawrence in a release,  "He is a leader both on and off the field, and he strives to be the best teammate at all times."
