Santa Barbara Fire requests mutual aid from SLO Co. Sheriff's Office

Update (2:20 p.m.) - 19 San Luis Obispo County deputies are in Santa Barbara providing mutual aid on the Thomas Fire along with 13 others from various agencies.

This includes SLOPD, PBPD, GBPD, APD, and Cuesta. A total of 32 personnel are assigned to the incident. PRPD is in Los Alamos at the Drum Fire.


The Sana Barbara Fire Department has requested mutual aid from the San Luis Obispo Sheriff's Office to help coordinate evacuation efforts forced by the Thomas Fire.  Around 30 members from emergency response departments in SLO County will be sent to help. 

Agencies responding include the San Luis Obispo Sheriff's Office, San Luis Obispo Police Department, Atascadero Police Department, Pismo Beach Police Department, Grover Beach Police Department, Paso Robles Police Department, and Cuesta Police Department
