Posted: Updated:

More people from law enforcement agencies throughout San Luis Obispo County are being sent to Santa Barbara County to help with needs there due to the Thomas Fire.

Over the weekend, about 30 people from the San Luis Obispo County Sheriff's Office and other agencies in the county made their way to Santa Barbara after a request for mutual aid was received from the State Office of Emergency Services.

Tuesday, another approximately 22 from the sheriff's office and other local police departments will head down to relieve those who originally responded.

Their primary task is to help with road blocks in evacuated areas.
