Restaurant Month kicks off in SLO County

Posted: Updated:

Some San Luis Obispo County restaurants are hoping to shore up business with restaurant month throughout January.

More than 40 restaurants in the county are participating in this year's SLO CAL Restaurant Month.

Each location features a special fixed-price menu with three courses ranging in price from $30 to $40.

Many of the participating restaurants are new and hungry for more business.

"I don't think people are aware how close each one of these restaurants are, said John Windels, owner of San Luis Obispo's Vegetable Butcher on Marsh Street. "You could do a walking tour in a few days and visit all these wonderful restaurants participating, so we're very excited to be a part of this group."
