Santa Maria -

UPDATE (8:10 a.m.) - Officials have shut down several roadways near the Alamo Fire burn scar due to flash flooding Tuesday morning.

Santa Maria Mesa Road is closed from Foxen Canyon Road to Tepusquet Road.

Tepusquet Road is closed from Santa Maria Mesa Road to Highway 166.

The Santa Barbara County Office of Emergency Management has issued a voluntary evacuation warning for parts of Tepusquet Canyon near the Alamo Fire Burn area because of storm danger risks.

Emergency management officials said the storm is expected to produce heavy rain, high winds and extremely dangerous flash flooding, mud and debris flows in and below the burn areas.

The Alamo Fire burned more than 28,000 acres, east of Santa Maria, in July.

Emergency management officials said residents in the evacuation area should stay alert to changing conditions and be prepared to leave at a moment's notice.
