At least nine people in San Luis Obispo County have reportedly died from flu-related complications.
San Luis Obispo Public Health said the nine residents were from across the county and had all been diagnosed with flu or had it listed as the cause of death on their death certificate.
Two people were under the age of 65. The other seven were over the age of 65.
The report comes after Santa Barbara announced Monday that the county has seen six flu-related deaths in the last two weeks. According to Santa Barbara officials, all of the six people reported dead were at least 65 years old.
