PHOTOS: Clean-up efforts underway in Montecito

Clean-up efforts to remove massive amounts of mud and debris are underway in Montecito. 

The damage is staggering. 

Officials say as of Thursday morning, damage assessment teams have found 65 homes destroyed in the mudslides. 

More than 460 homes suffered damage in the storm. 

This is one damaged home near Olive Mill Road and Hot Springs Road. 

Eight other structures were lost and 20 were damaged.

Southern California Edison crews are working to repair power poles at Olive Mill Road and Hot Springs Road. 

As of 10:45 a.m., 750 SoCal Edison customers are without power. 

Heavy machinery is working to clear debris in the neighborhood. In the background, you can see the Thomas Fire scar on the Montecito hillsides. 

Tuesday morning's mudslide propelled debris and cars from deep in the canyon neighborhoods all the way down to Highway 101. 

This destroyed car was found near Coast Village Road and Olive Mill Road. 

The bottom floor of the storied Montecito Inn is now a mess of mud. 

Crews are working to clear mud off of the Olive Mill Road overpass over Highway 101. 

Mud is being pushed off the roadway at Coast Village Road and Olive Mill Road.
