Crews got a handle on the flames within an hour of arriving on scene.

KSBY viewer Allen Belden posted this photo of the scene from his neighbor's property.

Fire officials say no one was home when the fire broke out.

Firefighters rescued two dogs and cat from the burning home.

"Most of the fire was between the garage and the living room of the house so we believe the origin of the fire was on the backside of the house," said CALFIRE SLO Battalion Chief Josh Taylor.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.

The two residents are displaced tonight.

Firefighters will monitor the scene for several hours in case of flareups.
