Cal Poly falls short at home against UC Davis, 80-76

The Cal Poly women's basketball team fought back from a 17-point 3rd quarter deficit only to fall short at home against UC Davis, 80-76.

The Aggies led the Mustangs 39-35 at halftime and started to pull away thanks to the outside shooting of Kourtney Eaton and Rachel Nagel. Nagel finished 4-of-6 from 3-point range and totaled a team-high 20 points.

Behind a game-high 30 points from Cal Poly senior Dynn Leaupepe, the Mustangs closed the gap in the 4th quarter by outscoring the Aggies 27-14.

With the win, UC Davis stays atop the Big West Conference at 5-0, while Cal Poly drops to 3-2.

Cal Poly will be back in action on Thursday night when they travel to Long Beach State, start time is 7:00pm.
