Cloudy & dry today with warm, sunny weekend ahead

Posted: Updated:

San Luis Obispo County saw some rain overnight but totals weren't too impressive.

Rain totals were generally between .10" and .20" in SLO County. Santa Barbara County saw mere hundredths of an inch.

Thursday will be dry with partly to mostly cloudy skies.

Winds will pick up this afternoon out of the northwest with sustained winds 15-20 mph and stronger gusts.

The wind will shift offshore tomorrow thanks to building high pressure.

The system's offshore flow will help clear out clouds to provide sunny skies and warmer temperatures Friday into the weekend.

Daytime highs will flirt with 80 degrees by Sunday.

Expect the last few days of January to be warm ones with records possible.
