Six-year-old Annie Blake of Atascadero is more than ready to host her next blood drive.

We first introduced you to Annie in February 2017. Nearly a year later, she's cancer-free.

Annie can officially call herself a cancer survivor after beating leukemia this month.

During her more than two-year battle, she and her family committed to giving back by hosting blood drives twice a year.

Annie received many blood transfusions during her cancer treatment. Her mom says Annie couldn't have beat the disease without that blood.

On Saturday, February 3, Annie and her family will host their fifth Team Annie Blood Drive in Atascadero.

The timing of Annie's drive couldn't be better as local blood supplies have dropped to critical levels in recent months.

United Blood Services says multiple blood drives had to be canceled in December and January because of the Thomas Fire and Montecito mudslide disaster.

As a result, there is now a desperate need for blood donations.

The Team Annie blood-mobile will be in Subway parking lot in Atascadero located at 8789 El Camino Real in Atascadero from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, February 3.
