Above average temperatures continue as upper level ridge remains over California

Posted: Updated:

The Central Coast will continue to have above average temperatures into the weekend. On Thursday, highs at the beaches will range from the high 60s to mid-70s and areas in the coastal and inland valleys could reach the high 70s to mid-80s.

San Luis Obispo has the chance to meet or break a heat record. On February 1,  1976, San Luis Obispo reached 85 degrees and that’s the expected high for Thursday.

The upper-level ridge over California will bring mostly clear to partly cloudy skies throughout most of Thursday. Winds will come out of the northeast Thursday morning and evening and shift out the northwest in the afternoon. These winds are looking to stay around or below the 15 miles per hour mark and aren’t expected to reach advisory levels.

As always, share your photos from the Central Coast using #beonksby and post to Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram.
