UPDATE (10:40 p.m.) - An estimated 1,200 customers will be without power all night. The driver ran from the scene and has not yet been found.

ORIGINAL STORY - Someone drove through a power pole Wednesday night in San Luis Obispo, causing some interruptions in electrical service.

The crash happened around 10 p.m. on S. Higuera near Granada Lane.

KSBY viewers reported their power briefly went out. PG&E will have to replace the pole. That could lead to another outage as the utility may have to turn off the power in order to fix the problem.

We have a KSBY News crew on the way in an effort to gather additional details.
