Free food assistance offered to Santa Barbara County mudslide & fire victims

Residents recovering from the Montecito mudslides and Thomas Fire are eligible for free food assistance. 

The program is provided by Cal-Fresh disaster services.

If your family was impacted by the fire and mudslides in Santa Barbara County, you can apply for cash to be spent on food. 

Cal-Fresh is giving out one-month's worth of grocery money to anyone whose home was destroyed or damaged, as well as to anyone impacted financially by disaster-related expenses. 

You have until Wednesday, February 14 to apply.  Click here for more information.

    One person was sent to the hospital after reportedly falling out of a moving car near Lake Nacimiento Sunday afternoon.
