Daytime highs above seasonal averages but cooling on the way

Posted: Updated:

The Central Coast will see another day of above seasonal temperatures. Highs at the beaches are expected to be around low to mid-70s, while the inland and coastal valleys will be warmer with potential for daytime highs to reach mid-70s to mid-80s.

Skies will be mostly clear Friday but there is a possibility coastal marine layer will make its way from the south. The winds will remain below advisory level, shifting out of the northwest and peaking at 15 miles per hour.

Warm temperatures will stick around for the weekend before they cool down at the beginning of next week, returning back to seasonal averages in the 60s. Tuesday, light rain is in the forecast. Models indicate that San Luis Obispo and Santa Maria could get more than .25’’, proving this system to be mild.
