Highway 101 lane reopens in Santa Margarita after semi-truck overturns

UPDATE: (9:00 a.m.) - Northbound Highway 101 was re-opened shortly before 9:00 a.m. Friday. Following the crash, drivers were being detoured off the highway and onto Highway 58, causing a major backup in that area. 


The fast lane of Highway 101 northbound just north of the Santa Margarita exit is shut down Friday morning. 

The California Highway Patrol says officers closed the number lane of Highway 101 NB after a semi-truck overturned just before 2:00 a.m.

The semi-truck flipped on the side in the center divider of the highway just north of Highway 58.

CHP officials say no injuries were reported. CHP expected the fast lane to be closed util close to 9:00 a.m.
