Nomination period begins for June 5 primary

Tuesday marks the start of the nomination period for the June 5 primary election.
     
Contests that will be on the ballot include races for U.S Senator, U.S Congress 24th District, all statewide offices, and all countywide offices.

Anyone interested in running for office must complete the necessary paperwork by 5:00 p.m. on March 9.

Some of the races already heating up in San Luis Obispo County include those for district attorney, sheriff, and at least one judge's seat.
