Residents with a passion for music have been summoned to join the Central Coast Rock Fest that will benefit the Cal Poly student who was paralyzed after falling at Bishop Peak in San Luis Obispo back in December 2016.

Evan Lalanne, who was 18 at the time, fell 30 feet after trying to make it across a crevasse atop the hill.

Since then, the community has come together in varied fundraisers to help out the Lalanne family, and the rock fest is one of those.

The rock fest is looking for musicians and singers to attend, which will be April 15, from 1 to 5 p.m. at Arroyo Grande High School stadium.

Music by Unfinished Business, Louis Ortega & Friends, and Simple Society will be featured.

Information and tickets can be found here.
