Very light overnight showers ahead of cold morning and afternoon

Santa Barbara County had light scattered showers overnight but the system was not promising. The areas with the most rainfall were Santa Maria and Casmalia, producing .04’’ of rain.

Friday will be another cold morning with temperatures ranging from the high 20s to mid-30s. A wind advisory is in effect for the interior and southern coastline of Santa Barbara County until 10:00 p.m. Friday. Winds could range from 15-30 miles per hour with gusts up to 45 mph.

San Luis Obispo County will also have a wind advisory in place starting at noon Friday. Models show that SLO County winds could be within the 10-20 mph range, increasing along the North Coast and coastal valleys.

As conditions remain cool, a freeze watch is in place from Northern San Luis Obispo County down to Point Conception until 9:00 a.m. Saturday. Temperatures will be around freezing Friday night into Saturday morning.
