Posted: Updated:

Righetti and Allan Hancock College took home Northern Santa Barbara County Athletic Round Table Athletes of the Week honors.

Righetti's senior wrestler Issaya Finley won the 170-pound championship by pin at the CIF Southern Section finals over the weekend. He also qualified for the state tournament.

"I upset the number one seed on paper in the semis with the 4-3-1 over him," Finley said.

Allan Hancock softball pitcher Bailey Killough led the Bulldogs to three consecutive victories, outscoring opponents 62-12. The sophomore added nine hits, 11 RBI's, 11 runs, three doubles, and a home run on the week. She also started the first game of a doubleheader, pitching a complete game while allowing one earned run.

"It's really exciting to be on a winning streak and to be playing really well with my team. It's really exciting," Bailey said.

Two student-athletes were also honored at the round table for the week of February 19.

Lompoc senior center Jordan Tyler had multiple blocks including one in the final ten seconds to help the Braves upset Aquinas in the second round of the CIF Southern Section Division 4A playoffs and advance to the quarterfinals.

"Our last game, unfortunately, didn't go our way but we fought and left everything on the court," Tyler said.

The female athlete of the week winner went to Allan Hancock track and field athlete, Haleigh Batty. She won two straight women's long jump events to start the season. Batty also went on to win her third straight long jump this last Friday at the Western State Conference North meet.

"I placed first for long and all three meets. My first meet I jumped 18 feet," Batty said.
