6 things to do this weekend on the Central Coast

Looking for something fun to do this weekend? Here are some of the events happening around the Central Coast:

SATURDAY, MARCH 3

SLO Friends of the Library Book Sale
9 a.m. - 2 p.m.
Veterans Memorial Building, 801 Grand Ave., San Luis Obispo
Thousands of books, including a large number of children's, teen and young adult books, along with CDs, vinyl LPs, DVDs, and audiobooks will be for sale. Books will be sold at $1.25 per inch. Audiovisual items will be sold at $2 each.

SYV Touch-A-Truck
10 a.m.-2 p.m.
Bethania Preschool & Afterschool, 611 Atterdag Rd., Solvang
Kids and kids at heart can get up close with all kinds of trucks, climb on and in them, honk horns, and turn on sirens. The event will also include bounce houses, face painting, a petting zoo, pizza, and shaved ice.
Admission: $5 per person or $20 for a family of 5.

Sculpture Zoo at Waller Park
2-3 p.m.
Waller Park, 3107 Orcutt Road, Santa Maria
A public reception and community painting event will be held to unveil an exhibition of animal sculptures at the park. The sculptures will be on display temporarily near the duck pond.

Twilight Mountain Bike Ride
5:30-7:30 p.m.
Los Flores Ranch Park, 6271 Dominion Rd., Santa Maria
A five-mile round trip ride is offered for beginner and intermediate mountain bike riders and an eight-mile round trip ride is offered for those who are more advanced. Bring your bike, helmet, headlamp, water, and dress appropriately.

SATURDAY - SUNDAY

Highway 46 West Wine Safari
11 a.m.-3 p.m.
Participating wineries: Aron Hill Vineyards, Castoro Cellars, Croad Vineyards, Dark Star Cellars, Doce Robles Winery, Donati Family Vineyards, Donatoni Vineyard, Four Lanterns Winery, Grey Wolf/Barton Family Wines, Hunt Cellars, Midnight Cellars, Peachy Canyon Winery, Sextant Wines, Shale Oak Winery, Treana Tasting Cellar, Tooth & Nail Winery
Get up close to "Animal Ambassadors" from Zoo to You visiting each of the wineries for a meet and greet with their handlers. Safari passes include three complimentary wine tastings at each winery.

SUNDAY, MARCH 4

A Toast to Dean Martin & Marilyn Monroe
3 p.m.
Clark Center for the Performing Arts, Arroyo Grande
Andy DiMino and Susan Griffith perform as Dean Martin and Marilyn Monroe respectively, covering songs such as "Ain't Love a Kick in the Head," "Everybody Loves Somebody," "Diamond's Are a Girl's Best Friend," and "I Wanna Be Loved by You."
