Former sanitation district admin. pleads no contest to conflict of interest

Posted: Updated:

Former South San Luis Obispo County Sanitation District Administrator John Wallace pleaded no contest Tuesday to two misdemeanor counts of conflict of interest.

The charges stem from his time as administrator of the sanitation district and general manager of the Avila Beach Community Services District. During that time, Wallace permitted his own company, the Wallace Group, to provide engineering services for the districts.

As part of the plea deal, Wallace agreed to pay $18,097.70 in restitution to the sanitation district and $41,626.87 to the community services district.
