Thursday, March 8, is World Kidney Day, and this year it involves burritos.

World Kidney Day is a global awareness campaign that aims to raise awareness of the importance of kidneys, and educate the world on overall health to reduce the frequency and impact of Chronic Kidney Disease.

Chipotle Mexican Grill is teaming up with the National Kidney Foundation to raise funds that will support prevention, awareness tactics and treatment of kidney disease.

To help out, visit a local Chipotle during business hours and order a burrito! Half the proceeds will be donated to the cause.

We badly need rainfall here on the Central Coast after last winter's dismal performance with many locations getting 50% or less of average rainfall.  Our rain season ends on the 30th with a new season beginning Monday.  So, technically speaking the rain possibility we are talking about wouldn't actually help our current season but rather help the next.  That said the rain chances are interesting.  The two major computer models both like some type of rain next week....
