New center opening in Montecito to assist residents in disaster areas

A new center is opening in Montecito Thursday where community members affected by the Thomas Fire and mudslide can receive support, information and resources.

The Montecito Center for Preparedness, Recovery and Rebuilding will be located at 1283 Coast Village Circle. It will be open Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., on Wednesday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., and on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Staff at the center will be able to connect people with counseling services, business support, rebuilding resources, information on preparing for future disasters, and more.
