Atascadero announces summer concert lineup

The City of Atascadero has announced the lineup for its 2018 Saturday in the Park Summer Concert Series.

The concerts will be held nearly every Saturday from June 16 through Aug. 11 at the Atascadero Lake Park Bandstand. The concerts are free and take place from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.

Concert lineup:

  • June 16 - Back Bay Betty
  • June 30 - The Jammies
  • July 7 - Soundhouse
  • July 14 - The Martin Paris Band
  • July 21 - Truth About Seafood
  • July 28 - Unfinished Business
  • Aug. 4 - Stellar
  • Aug. 11 - The JD Project

On Saturday, Aug. 18, the third annual "Dancing in the Streets" will take place from 5 to 10 p.m. in downtown Atascadero. The event is part of Cruisin' Weekend that kicks off with "Hot El Camino Cruise Nite" on Friday, Aug. 17 and the Mid State Cruizers Car Show on Aug. 18. The band line-up for "Dancing in the Streets" is expected to be announced soon.

    CHP officials say two people were taken to the hospital after a reported hit-and-run crash outside of Lompoc Saturday night. It happened around 8:15 p.m. near the summit of Harris Grade Road. One of the drivers reportedly ran away after the crash. It's not clear if the two people injured were in the same vehicle. Each vehicle suffered major front-end damage, CHP said.
