Cal Poly head baseball coach Larry Lee earned his 500th victory over the weekend. He was honored before Sunday's game with a plaque given to him by Cal Poly president, Jeff Armstrong and Cal Poly Athletic Director, Don Oberhelman.
"You know, I never pay too much attention to that. I just know that with the wins, come a lot of losses," Lee said. "It just means I've been here for awhile and have coached a lot of games. It's all great, but what's something is how you're doing in the particular season. The win on Friday night just set us up for the rest of the weekend."
The Mustangs completed their first sweep of a three-game series against Long Beach State in Lee's 16 years as head coach with an 8-2 victory inside Baggett Stadium on Sunday.
