Morro Bay police arrest 3 people at suspected drug house

Police arrested three people on drug-related charges Tuesday after serving a search warrant at a Morro Bay home.

Police say officers had been investigating reports of illegal drug activity at the home on the 2300 block of Hemlock Ave. for several weeks.

During the service of the search warrant Tuesday morning, police say they found approximately 163 grams of methamphetamine, more than 270 grams of processed marijuana, cash believed to be from drug sales, firearms, armor piercing ammunition, and illegal weapons.

Robert Hurless, 25, was booked into San Luis Obispo County Jail on charges of possession of a controlled substance for sale, possession of a controlled substance while armed with a firearm, possession of stolen property, possession of nunchaku, possession of a switchblade knife, and possession of metal knuckles. He was being held on $50,000 bail.

Paul DeFalco, 33, was booked on a charge of possession of a controlled substance for sale. He was also being held on $50,000 bail.

Brook Gaughan, 50, was booked on charges of possession of a controlled substance and maintaining a residence for unlawful activity. She was being held on $20,000 bail.

    CHP officials say two people were taken to the hospital after a reported hit-and-run crash outside of Lompoc Saturday night. It happened around 8:15 p.m. near the summit of Harris Grade Road. One of the drivers reportedly ran away after the crash. It's not clear if the two people injured were in the same vehicle. Each vehicle suffered major front-end damage, CHP said.
