Wednesday will be the first day this week that most of the interior valleys have daytime highs in the mid to upper 80s. The low-pressure building over the Pacific Northwest is showing its impacts on the Central Coast.

Coastal valley temperatures are also cooling by a few degrees and mostly staying around the low to upper 70s. Patchy morning fog will cover most of the area in the morning before burning off closer to noon. The low-pressure system will also slightly bring temperatures down for the beaches, especially as winds increase in the afternoon. Temperatures at along the coastline will be in the mid to upper 60s.

Northwesterly winds will be fairly mild at times, however, wind gusts are going to increase around the early afternoon. Gusts could be as low as 20 miles per hour, but for places like Gaviota, gusts could reach near 40 miles per hour.
