The Lompoc Police Department is holding two DUI checkpoints this week in an effort to crackdown on drunk drivers. The checkpoints will take place in Lompoc on Saturday, January 30 and Monday, February 1.
Police will be stopping vehicles between 6 p.m. and 2 a.m. at an undisclosed location...

The damage caused by a single lightning strike can be truly amazing. The Streetman family from Lompoc has been without power since yesterday morning when lightning lit up their palm tree and the blast did even more.

A caregiver was arrested Wednesday after Santa Barbara County Sheriff's Deputies say she stole thousands of dollars from an 88-year-old Goleta woman.
