City bus drivers reach deal with First Transit to avoid strike

Bus drivers in Santa Maria have decided not go on strike. The union was able to reach a deal with First Transit--the company that contracts with the city of Santa Maria. Talks between the two groups have been going on for months since First Transit took over. Contract negotiations failed... more »
