  UPDATE: Hwy. 166 shut down as crews clean up head on accident

  Highway Patrol says they have shut down Hwy. 166 near S. Thompson due to an accident.

  The crash involing a box truck and a car happened early Tuesday morning. The car reportedly hit the big rig head-on.

  CHP tells KSBY News the driver of the car is in the hospital. The big rig is disabled due to damage. 

  Officers say they don't know when traffic will be back to normal.

  Olive Street closed in San Luis Obispo after crash

  The California Highway Patrol has closed Olive Street at Santa Rosa Street in San Luis Obispo because of a collision.

  The CHP says it happened after 8:30 p.m. Monday on southbound Highway 101 near the Santa Rosa Street offramp.

  The agency believes the collision appears to be a major-injury accident.

  Very little information is being released at this time.

  Northbound lane of Highway 1 closed

  The California Highway Patrol says one of the northbound lanes on Highway 1 is closed because of a traffic collision.

  The collision happened around 8:00 p.m. Thursday at Highland Dr. and Highway 1 in San Luis Obispo.

  The CHP says two vehicles collided.
