The Santa Maria Police Department is looking for a man who tried to kidnap a girl in Santa Maria Tuesday night.

It happened around 7:22 p.m. in the 300 block of West Park Street.

Officers say the victim from Santa Maria was walking on West Park Street when a man in a large white van
