Cal Trans is asking commuters to avoid the Cuesta Grade as it remains closed due to bridge deck roadwork.

Crews are working to reopen the fast lane as soon as possible for commuters.

Motorist should expect major delays of at least an hour when traveling southbound on Hwy 101.

Your afternoon commute might be a little longer if you're heading southbound on Hwy 101 over the grade.

The California Highway Patrol says one lane is closed on Hwy 101 just south of Hwy 58. The road is expected to reopen Thursday at 5 a.m.
