The man found dead in an apparent murder-suicide Friday in Goleta stabbed his girlfriend to death with a hunting knife before killing himself with it, according to the Santa Barbara County Sheriff's Department.

The man and woman have been identified as Heidi Hubrecht, 24 and Luis Avila
