The Morro Bay High softball team erupted for three runs in the top of the eighth inning to upset first place Nipomo 4-1 in a Los Padres League battle on Friday.
The two teams shared the LPL title last year. Morro Bay improved to 4-3 in league play, while the Titans fell to 5-2.

The Templeton baseball team is having its best season since joining the Los Padres League and now the Eagles have sole possession of first place for the first time ever. Templeton beat Santa Ynez 1-0 on Tuesday in Templeton. The Eagles and Pirates both entered 5-1 in the L.P.L.
