The Nipomo High girls volleyball team captured its first CIF playoff win since 2007 with a 3-0 sweep of El Monte on Tuesday night. The Titans advanced to Thursday's second round of the CIF Division 3A playoffs.
The Titans cruised 25-12, 25-13 and 25-8 to improve to 18-8 overall.

The San Luis Obispo High boys water polo team overcame an early 5-2 deficit to win its first CIF playoff game in twelve years on Tuesday. The Tigers beat visiting Beverly Hills 11-7 in a Division 4 wildcard game.
San Luis Obispo improved to 16-11 on the season under first year head coach
