Central Coast resident Luke Branquinho returned to the top of the world standings on Monday at the National Finals Rodeo in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The Los Alamos native finished second in round five of steer wrestling with a time of 3.9 seconds. He earned $14,429 in prize money to up his 2012
