Offshore winds near the coast will crank up again Monday night into Tuesday producing another round of warm temps near the coast, but there is a notable exception: the interior valleys. The valleys are dealing with night and morning low clouds and fog. High temps Tuesday will be in the 70s, even some upper 70s, near the coast while inland highs lag in the mid 60s range. Those offshore winds could gust again in some ridge and canyons up to 45 mph overnight and early Tuesday but generally will be in the 10-20mph range with most gusts near 25. Weather will change a bit on Christmas Eve and Christmas day when a low-pressure trough swings into California. It will not produce rain this far south, however winds will again become onshore and highs drop back into the 60s closer to the coast. However a quick return to offshore winds for the upcoming weekend and the temperatures will again jump near the coast with a muted increase inland. What of rain? I don't think we have much of a chance thru New Years but shortly after that models say activity should resume.
