A 4.8 earthquake shook the Central Coast Wednesday morning.The US Geological Survey says the quake hit around 7:30 a.m. three miles west of Isla Vista in Santa Barbara County.

Smoke may be visible near Camp Roberts Wednesday.
Camp Roberts Fire and Emergency Services is planning a prescribed burn in the area.
Officials say around 4,000 acres will be burned, weather permitting, from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.
The burn will help remove excess grass on the National Guard's post in northern San Luis Obispo County.

The California Highway Patrol and Target are teaming up to offer free child passenger safety seat checkups.
The checkups are happening Saturday at the San Luis Obispo Target from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
