Genelle Padilla co-anchors KSBY News Daybreak, weekday mornings from 5-7 a.m. She joined the KSBY News team in April 2021.
A Southern California native, Padilla attended the University of Southern California and graduated from the Annenberg School of Communication. She also received a certificate in news reporting at San Diego City College.
Genelle is no stranger to Central Coast viewers. She was recently an anchor and multimedia journalist at the local CBS affiliate. Prior to that, Padilla produced and hosted at a national lifestyle and entertainment network. She created original content that would lead to three regional Emmy nominations and an Emmy for producing a show on the Sunset Strip Music Festival.
