Slightly cooler daytime highs Thursday

Posted
and last updated

The cloudy and foggy conditions will continue for the coastal valleys and beaches Thursday morning, but afternoon clearing is in the forecast.

A low-pressure trough that is digging into the Pacific Northwest will impact the Central Coast and bring cooler temperatures, particularly for the interior valleys, as well as some breezy conditions. This combination could cause clearing along the coastline by early afternoon, especially with the potential for northwesterly wind gusts to range from 20-30 miles per hour.

Daytime highs for the interior valleys are expected to go back to the mid to upper 80s, while the coastal valleys will sit close to the low to mid-70s. Temperatures along the coast will remain unchanged and close to the mid-60s.
