Alec and Hilaria Baldwin have welcomed their fifth child together. The baby boy was born on Sept. 8 and joins older siblings Romeo Alejandro David, 2; Leonardo Angel Charles, 4; Rafael Thomas, 5; Carmen Gabriela, 7; and Ireland, 24, Alec’s daughter with ex-wife Kim Basinger.
The Baldwins took to Instagram to announce the happy news. “We had a baby last night,” Hilaria wrote in her Sept. 9 post alongside a photo of the proud parents with their newborn. “He is perfect and we couldn’t be happier. Stay tuned for a name.”
Alec posted the same photo writing in Spanish and then translated to English, “I love you, @hilariabaldwin. My karma is your karma. Your karama is mine.”
“After my miscarriage I reached out to my community on Instagram and asked women whether they felt pressure to be silent throughout their fertility struggles,” she wrote. “I heard from thousands of women, all of whom just wanted a chance to share their stories.”
She said that by speaking out, she was showing women that they don’t have to close themselves off following their similar experiences.
“Sharing not only let me come to terms with what was real, but it also allowed me to connect with such healing support from so many women wanting to talk about their own miscarriages,” she continued. “We processed our losses together, realized we are not alone, and put this whole experience in the context of a life that is not always benevolent.”
Ahead of giving birth to her fifth child, a rainbow baby because it comes after infant loss, the mom spoke toE! Online about her growing brood.
“We both are not people who would have expected to have so many kids,” she told the outlet. “If we didn’t think we were doing well as parents or couldn’t afford to have these kids, we wouldn’t have them. We are very conscious of our family without overwhelming the system.”
Congratulations to the whole family on their newest bundle of joy!
