Man who rapped about killing suspected of kidnapping

LOS ANGELES (AP) — Southern California authorities believe a man who rapped about killing a woman in a video is suspected of kidnapping his girlfriend, who remains missing.

The video broadcast Wednesday by KTLA-TV shows a man believed to be Robert Camou taking the microphone at a Los Angeles bar on Monday. In it, he uses profane language to rap about killing and burying a woman.

The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department says it believes — but hasn’t officially verified — that Camou is in the video.

Camou was arrested Tuesday after a standoff in downtown Los Angeles. Authorities had been seeking the 27-year-old since witnesses reported seeing 31-year-old Amanda Kathleen Custer being put into the back of a car on Monday in suburban Monrovia.

Custer is believed to be in grave danger.
