A calendar is highlighting kids in need of a forever home.

Over the past 10 years, SLO County Foster Care has made a calendar profiling some of the children who are either in the foster system or have been adopted.

Volunteers in the community help the child pick a dream day and make it happen.

“It showcases these kids ultimately want to be regular kids,” said foster parent Stephanie Simonin. “And when the community rallies around them and supports these kids, it provides them opportunities to make choices that ultimately are going to lead to good decisions in their lives.”

The calendars are available at any social services office.
