“Snow” is in the forecast for Lompoc on Friday.
The third annual Community Snow Day takes place over three days this weekend.
It’s held at 2 River Park from noon to 8 p.m. on December 21 and 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on December 22 and 23.
Attendees can play in the snow, enjoy coffee, hot cocoa, snow cones, and popcorn, and possibly even run into Santa Claus.
The event is free to the public.
Organizers say they still need volunteers and monetary contributions for the snow. They say it costs about $300 per one ton of snow and 30 tons of snow are needed for the event.
