We saw ample cloud cover over the Central Coast today and beach temps were definitely held down by the June Gloom and the onshore flow, away from the beaches there was clearing and temps were generally mild in the coastal valleys and warm inland.
There aren't a lot of twists and turns in this forecast moving forward. There is a ridge over The West but also a thermal low level trough which encourages weak onshore flow, enough flow to keep clouds up against the coast but not enough to mix out clouds there. Away from the beaches some clearing looks to take place each day.
This common pattern for this time of year doesn't look to break anytime soon. This warm inland with coastal clouds situation looks to linger into early July.
